
Samantha Holmes
Samantha Holmes earned her Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. While in law school, she demonstrated a deep commitment to advocating for families and survivors through her work with the Special Victims Unit of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, her service as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer, and her clerkship with the Morgan County Circuit Court, where she focused on Child in Need of Services (CHINS) matters. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Marion County Department of Child Services. Samantha further contributed to the legal community as a co-author of the 2017 CHINS Deskbook, published by Kids’ Voice of Indiana and widely relied upon by practitioners across the state.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Deidra Haynes, Samantha served as a trial attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services, an Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Workforce Development, and a staff attorney for Kids’ Voice of Indiana, where she advocated for the best interests of children. She brings extensive litigation and settlement experience, along with a steadfast dedication to guiding clients through some of life’s most difficult challenges. A registered Guardian ad Litem, Samantha has more than a decade of experience representing children and families within the court system.
Samantha’s practice encompasses a broad range of family law matters, including CHINS cases, termination of parental rights, guardianships, paternity actions, dissolutions, third-party custody, protective orders, and issues involving child support and parenting time. She is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate representation and takes pride in serving as a strong and steady voice for those who need it most.
Samantha is licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana and is an active member of both the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association.
